She was so startled by the revelation. It was buried deep in the inner recesses of her mind. She was afraid to even accept it herself. And yet here it was. Shoved into her face without her having any clue how it could bypass her consciousness. She marveled at this ability of him. It came so naturally to him, she was shocked that it came from someone other than herself.

How he sounded so normal even when with her. He was as comfortable with her as he would be in his own skin. It was this thing that made her believe that they were ONE single entity. Like they had always known each other and existed in each other even when they hadn’t met. She was certain of things about him even before she asked him.

She didn’t know why she was so sure but she knew that the thought had a profound existence. It existed in him and her. They did not even have to confirm its presence with each other. It was an unspoken truth. It distinguished them and yet… brought them together.

Because seriously when i went up to the washroom after the meeting, i realized that my hair was in awe fully worse state as if i had just stepped out of a Van De Graff generator. Or who knows maybe if you were a meteorologist you would run down and create a false alarm of lightning.

Who except me can go into my manager’s cabin with that sort of hair and with message tee that says ‘ Department of Redundancy’? And when your manager uses the word ‘redundant’, you know that the recent feelings of ‘Nostradamus’ that you have had are, by no chance, a fluke.

But its important you know why?

I was among the first ones to hear about Gmail. I visited the site only to find out that it was limited. And then i had filled up a form and all. Three years later, i still had not got myself a gmail account. Yeah!

So you know…how happy was I when 2 days back i saw this invite email in my inbox because again i had filled up a form and all. It feels good to be part of  among the first to use a newly started feature. And quickly turn into a snob. (evil grin)

I had my first email ID in 10th (2000). I was really ahead of my times. My first ID at rediff. Then i got two other for myself at indiatimes. One of these was combined email ID with my best friend ‘SOUL’. Yeah! I still remember the password. I just dont wanna activate these IDs all over again. And then i created one at yahoo which i have not accessed since 4-5 months. At last count i live with two yahoo IDs which are really in use and two at gmail.

I think i should really go see a doctor for this.

I have a basic wordpress blog where your eyes and brain are processing information right now. I have one at blogger so that i could run ads. But it lost the contest to wordpress. I have another photoblog here which i hardly update.

Multiple-browser-syndrome:

Yeah Opera rocks! Its my basic browser. But when you need to access any govt site you obviously need IE. Then i have Chrome , Firefox and Safari too. I even have Lunascape. Ever heard of it? I dont think so.Then the problem starts. Synchronizing between browsers.

More importantly synchronizing between home PC, office PC and mobile browser bookmarks. Phew! Thank god for Opera Link.

Move on  to:

No there is no ‘multiple’ here coz i need to synchronize status messages of all my social networking accounts. Facebook, Orkut and Skype.

Life is so tough! And i am so demented! Turns out i have multiple-syndrome-syndrome!

Dear all,

Saturday, the 21st, was the day which I can proudly call ‘My first day at work’ Anniversary. The year went by at rocket speed because as cliché  as it sounds, it seems like I just stepped in recently. Maybe, life goes by faster when split into quarters.

Life has just changed post Maxim. My parents know now what having a workaholic daughter means. (!!) Maxim has taken away some things(out of me) which I am fighting to get back but in return has given me lots. I don’t mean my business card (:) ) but those words which have innocuously seeped into my vocabulary i.e. trend chart, analysis, growth, revenue, reports…among many others. Wiring my brain in mm/dd/yy format and almost erasing the dd/mm/yy program. Thank god 1/1 means same in either one. Ditto…fiscal years and work weeks…you know. Acing tests. (Yet again!). Trying real hard for something and not get it. (IIT issue…no comments). Increased my knowledge of geography and the semiconductor industry of course. All this plus a gift of wonderful colleagues with whom I spend almost 10 hrs everyday and who play a major role in enabling me to say this ” I love to come to work every day”. Some of you have come real close. A party almost every month. A chance of meeting people whom you can look up to for inspiration…And meeting them so early in your career..you feel that’s one of the best things to happen to you.

I have had appreciation coming in from everywhere which has made me all the more humble. Thanks everybody for that. Makes me want to live up to your expectations all the more. Feels like I have achieved something. Yet, far to go. Like normal people, I have had my share of mistakes in the last year, admitted them and learnt from them. The last year was great. Greater years to come by. Won’t say that next year would be greatest. Because in the end I want to have my pick of greater years to find my greatest one!

Be it being the ‘software expert’ or the ‘organizer’ or the ‘photographer’ or the ‘fab support specialist’, the experience was amazing. Thanks to all my colleagues. Forgive me if any of my ‘radiation’ hurt you. I dint mean to. You guys all rock!

As for my team, we have a wonderful team spirit which I am proud of… but we are yet to create magic..which we shall!

P.S.:  Looking over this mail now, looks like its one of those speeches…

I know…a year later i am gonna look back to this mail and laugh…maybe..who knows!

But at present i think i did a very good effort at communicating what i felt. Plus i have brought to office – a cake baked by joint effort of yours truly and momma dearest.  Cheers!

But i dint like the way India was potrayed like it was in the 1950s. The mixing of the scenes was far too obvious. Okay enough of the critic thing.

Most of the times i had goosebumps thanks to the bass and the music. But one particular moment when i had really strong ones was the scene in which they show the Air Force One plane on the tarmac and the next scene they show the interior.

It was the time when i saw the ‘United States of  America’  in wonderful ‘font’ ( ) on the plane, there i thought ‘Whoa’….

And for some moments…for some moments i really wished …wished to be reborn in that culture.

What brought that in me, i dont know….Does working for a US based company for one year do that to you?

Edit(Nov30): It so happens that years later i become famous and some reporter digs up this post and flashes into my face. How unpatriotic am I? I am not. I love India! Goes without saying…;)
